My Alter Ego: Dan the Man
Tears of Technology is an independent dance artist / producer / remixer from New Orleans. Growing up in a city of diverse music styles and around the musical talents of his father, he understands the importance of not only creating music, but also experiencing it. He combines his passion for music with several styles of club music to create a unique sound, not only heard, but felt by his listeners. With the recent addition of singer / songwriter Serenity, the music continues to evolve, enlighten, and stimulate the spirit.
Tears of Technology is not only unique because of his sound, but also because of his messages. As in his words, he does not write music for impressing, but expressing. This is music from the soul for open minded people who listen for the heart inside music.
Tears of Technology was surrounded by music his entire life. He watched his father play the tenor sax in bands across America. By the time he was six, he was playing the piano. He also played alto saxophone in elementary school By the time he was 20 he was mixing on the wheels of steel at various clubs in the New Orleans area. These 10 years helped produce a skill and a style he calls 504. A style only defined in the city of New Orleans, unique and unlike the rest.
Tears of Technology produces full compositional tracks from his heart & inner soul. A beast of skills with hot remixes, new sounds and fresh grooves that test club music's boundaries.
Tears of Technology producing experience comes from 15 years of turntablism mixing to the last 9 years of creating beats and grooves from scratch. An old school influence is definitely noted in this new school sound.
Tears of Technology has also produced hip hop tracks with the local hip hop artists Ike Dogg & Nick Toca.

June 1st 2006 (New Orleans, La.) - 504 Productions presents a new CD release from Tears of Technology. All new material with radio mixes, and club mixes of four new tracks.
The CD contains the new hot Electro-Breaks track entitled "Make the Beat Drop". Vocoded rhymes help give the listener a better perspective as to who Tears of Technology is. Staying true to the Old School, TOT reminds us that it is about the music, not the image...
The release features the vocals of Serenity on the title track "Free To Be Me" and "Higher Ground". Serenity is from South Carolina. Her soothing angelic vocals fit seamlessly with the musical mind of Tears of Technology.
This release also features the song writing skills and vocals of Angel Moreno on the song "Getting Over You" from the forth coming album "Time Will Tell". Angel teamed up with TOT to bring you a fresh hot new sound for the dance scene. The Ep features 5 mixes of this awesome club track.
